Midwifery Advisory Group
Purpose
To advise on policy issues and teaching and learning matters, to represent Council on relevant committees and to develop strategies for promoting research in the discipline of midwifery.
Terms of Reference
- Advise and inform Council with respect to relevant policy issues of national and international interest including but not limited to midwifery practice, education, workforce, accreditation and registration.
- Develop, in collaboration with Council, both short and long-term strategies for promoting and enhancing midwifery research in association with the Council’s Research Advisory Group (through its cross- membership).
- Provide advice to Council on relevant teaching and learning matters in relation to midwifery.
- Represent Council at relevant government committees, working parties, and advisory and consultative committees such as DoHA, ANMC accreditation advisory committee, MSAG, HWA and others as appropriate.
